There are many posture braces to choose from, but I would argue that they more or less all fall into two different categories.
In the table above you see these two categories or types represented.
The first type which is also the one you see listed as number one is what you can call a “vest-type” brace.
They are bulkier other type and wearing these resembles wearing a vest. Wearing them gives a full support for the whole upper-body.
The vest-type brace can work well to improve your posture, but the downside is they are bigger, more visual and perhaps more restrictive.
The brace in the table above is actually both a smaller and more compact example of the type of brace.
The second type is a much smaller brace often called an 8-figure clavicle brace.
Wearing this will help improve the position of your shoulders and upper back. This type of brace is a good solution if you just need help to train yourself to maintain a correct shoulder position.
They are usually cheaper, but more people have issues the comfortableness and fitting of these braces compared to the vest-type brace.
Both kinds of braces will work to improve your posture, but the 8 figure clavicle brace doesn’t have the same support as the vest type brace.

Besides that, the end goal is of course that you at some point don’t need the brace at all. The end goal is not to become reliant on using the brace.

But there is actually another kind of product that doesn’t have this issue but it comes at a higher price.
At first glance, these posture correcting shirts look similar to normal compression clothing, but when you wear them you can clearly feel a difference.
With a unique design, they stimulate your muscles to work the way they are supposed to.
Unlike the posture braces that mechanically pull your shoulders back, with a posture correcting shirt your muscles are actually doing the work.

As mentioned above, there are no “quick-fix” or “one thing” you can do to fix your posture.
Wearing a posture brace can be very helpful and a great addition to performing various exercises that both stretch and strengthen the muscles in your upper body.
You will also have to address the ergonomics of your surroundings. A good place to start is the setup at your desk. In general, you shouldn’t have to lean forward to use your computer and screen should be at eye-height.
Other things could be like how you sit or how you sleep.
